January 2023 – Alexander Mayeta & Friedrich Saturne
The District Six Transportation Systems Management and Operations (TSM&O) Office is proud to announce that Mr. Alexander Mayeta and Mr. Friedrich Saturne are the Road Rangers of the Month for January 2023.
Mr. Mayeta and Mr. Saturne have been on the team for eight years and one year, respectively. On the afternoon of January 15th, both Road Rangers were assisting a disabled vehicle when they found themselves in the middle of a drive-by shooting. Mr. Mayeta and Mr. Saturne remained calm during this high-stress situation. They kept the scene safe and cooperated with law enforcement until the investigation was completed many hours later.
This unfortunate incident is a reminder of the courage shown by the Road Rangers and first responders every day. Every disabled vehicle, every crash is a unique and complex situation. Safety is everyone’s responsibility and we should all do our part to make sure Road Rangers and first responders get home safely.
