District Six Releases Road Ranger Appreciation Video
The District Six Transportation Systems Management and Operations (TSM&O) Office released a video
that recognizes the Road Ranger Service Patrols for their numerous contributions to our regional
transportation system. The video shows leaders from the traffic and incident management community
sharing their positive experiences working alongside the Road Rangers. First responders from Florida
Highway Patrol, Fire Rescue and FDOT shared how the District’s Road Rangers help them feel safe when
managing incidents on the field. They noted how their support and professionalism allows them to do
their jobs more effectively during high-stress and dangerous situations. The video also shows executive
staff and operations personnel recognizing the Road Ranger Program for being an invaluable asset to the
agency’s traffic operations services.
The Road Ranger appreciation video was created to recognize the District’s first responders for the
heroic work they do every day. It was unveiled at the District’s annual Road Ranger workshop, which is
an event that provides training and recognizes program milestones. The video was well received by the
Road Rangers as they were surprised and thankful to see their peer’s express gratitude for their efforts.
The video is part of the District’s wider effort to promote communication, coordination, and cooperation
among incident responders. The District hosts special training sessions and publishes educational
materials on a regular basis to promote engagement and keep staff up to date with the latest safety
initiatives. To view the video, click here.
