FDOT District Six Participates In Joint Regional TIM Meeting

Members of the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District Six Traffic Incident Management (TIM) team participated in the Regional TIM Meeting held on Wednesday, April 5.

Partner agencies met to discuss the on-going initiatives and events that are affecting or will affect our regional roadways. This joint meeting also included a discussion about the recent number of crashes involving Road Rangers. The TIM team also discussed their recent response to the Fort Lauderdale Airport Shooting in January.

The goal of the joint meeting is to promote cross-county communication between regional incident management agencies and improve coordination between all members to ensure roadway incidents are cleared quickly and safely with the most up-to-date strategies.

The Regional TIM team is made up of FDOT District Four, District Six, Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise, Miami-Dade Expressway Authority, Florida Highway Patrol, local law enforcement, local fire rescue, towing agencies and others. The meeting was held in District Four.
