TSM&O Office to Host Miami-Dade TPO’s CTAC Group

The FDOT District Six Transportation Systems Management and Operations (TSM&O)
Office will be hosting the Miami-Dade County’s Transportation Planning Office’s (TPO)
Citizen’s Transportation Advisory Committee (CTAC) in early spring 2025.

The CTAC was formed as a mandate by the State of Florida through the federal
government to advise the TPO’s Governing Board on their transportation initiatives. The
committee is composed of a seven-member team who are appointed by the TPO. They
are comprised of community leaders and transportation advocates representing the
citizens of Miami-Dade County to provide feedback on the Long Range Transportation
Plan, the Unified Planning Work Program, the Transportation Improvement Plan, and
many other critical plans that will affect the region.

TSM&O staff will host the group at the SunGuide Transportation Management Center to
give new members an overview of the program. They will learn about TSM&O Office’s
traffic management services, latest achievements, and upcoming projects. They will
also see a live demonstration of an Incident Response Vehicle that supports our
roadways. FDOT works in partnership with the TPOs across the state. This tour will
serve to strengthen agency relationships and promote goodwill among the partners to
benefit South Florida.
