FDOT to Host Joint TIM Meeting with D4 and D6
The Florida Department of Transportation’s (FDOT) District Six will host the bi-annual joint meeting this October for the Miami-Dade and Broward County Traffic Incident Management (TIM) Teams.
The meeting is being held to update partner agencies about the TIM program’s latest activities and initiatives. Incident management representatives from the southeast Florida TIM community including Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise, PortMiami Tunnel, Greater Miami Expressway Agency, and FDOT will present about their respective agencies and projects.
The meetings are designed to promote cross-county coordination between all partners to ensure the safe and quick clearance of traffic incidents in the region. They provide a forum for the agencies to meet face-to-face in a safe and collaborative environment to improve communication between all partners. The joint meetings are held twice a year. The first meeting is hosted every spring in by District Four in Broward County. District Six hosts additional events throughout the year for their east and west corridors as well as in Monroe County.
