FDOT District Six Messages For Safety with Drive Safe Aggressive Driving Campaign
The Florida Department of Transportation District Six is launching a campaign aimed at reducing the incidents of aggressive driving. The “Drive Safe” campaign’s goal is to remind driver to be kind and considerate of motorists on the roadway.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHSTA) defines aggressive driving as the operation of a motor vehicle in a manner that endangers or is likely to endanger persons or property. One of the most prevalent forms of aggressive driving is speeding.
In coordination with the District’s efforts, the SunGuide Transportation Management Center (TMC) will be using its dynamic message signs to remind driver to keep a safe distance at all times or use their signals when changing lanes.
