FDOT District Six TSM&O Office Participates in Career Day Event
The FDOT District Six Transportation Systems Management and Operations (TSM&O) Office recently participated in a local Career Day Event where representatives met with fourth grade students to share information about the program. The goal of the event was to expose students to different career opportunities as well as the importance of higher education to meeting career objectives.
Mr. Sergio Bravo, P.E., who serves as the TSM&O Engineer for the Arterials Division, spoke to the students about the role engineers play in the community. He outlined his educational trajectory through the engineering track and the steps he took to get to his current position within FDOT. Mr. Bravo also gave a general presentation that explained the TSM&O Program and the services it provides on a daily basis. He showed a short video that detailed the importance of integrating technology to keep up with traffic demand in Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties. The presentation was well received, and the students asked many questions about the information provided.
