These meetings are a cornerstone for the TIM Teams that manage two of South Florida’s most heavily traveled regions. They provide a forum for regional partners to meet in person, share updates, and highlight ongoing projects.

District Six opened the session with welcome remarks and an overview of current initiatives in Miami-Dade County. Highlights included preparations for the FIFA World Cup 2026, plans for the 2025 Crash Responder Safety Week campaign, and progress on the Wrong-Way Vehicle Detection System. District Four followed with updates on the 95 Express Phase 3C Project and the First Responder Drive-Thru Event, which gave responders an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the facility’s new configurations before its opening.

The meeting also featured updates from regional partners, including Florida Highway Patrol Troop ‘E’, Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise, the Greater Miami Expressway Agency, the PortMiami Tunnel, the Golden Glades Interchange Enhancement Project, and the I-395/SR 836/I-95 Design-Build Project. Presenters shared construction milestones, introduced new staff members, and discussed lessons learned. The session concluded with a presentation from Sunshine Towing which announced the addition of two South Florida Road Rangers, Jak Pereira and Jose Parra, to the International Towing Museum’s Wall of the Fallen. Attendees observed a moment of silence in their memory and reaffirmed the TIM community’s shared commitment to responder safety.

The meetings play an essential role in the TIM Program’s mission to provide safe and reliable roadways in our state. They provide space for partners to discuss the issues impacting their agencies, foster collaboration, and implement tangible solutions on our roads. The next bi-annual meeting will be hosted by the District Four TIM Team in Broward County in spring 2026.
